News - The Game Awards 2023 : Baldur's Gate III wird Spiel des Jahres

Wer hätte das gedacht: Eher als Nischentitel für Hardcore-RPG-Fans an den Start gegangen, hat sich Baldur's Gate III zum riesigen Erfolg gemausert - und jetzt hat das Spiel der Larian Studios auch bei den The Game Awards 2023 im großen Stil abgeräumt.

Im Rahmen der Preisverleihung in der vergangenen Nacht hat Baldur's Gate III aus dem Hause Larian Studios den ganz großen Wurf gelandet und den Award für das Game of the Year eingeheimst. Mit seinem epischen Rollenspiel haben die Entwickler sich damit den wichtigsten Award der Spielebranche gesichert.

Darüber hinaus konnte sich Baldur's Gate III auch noch in weiteren Kategorien durchsetzen. Der Titel gewann außerdem die Auszeichnungen in Best Multiplayer, Player's Voice, Best RPG, Community Support und Best Performance - es war also ein gewaltiger Abend für die Larian Studios.

Mehrere Auszeichnungen heimste außerdem auch Alan Wake 2 ein, das in den Kategorien Best Game Direction, Best Narrative und Best Art Direction als Sieger vom Platz ging. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gewann indes die Kategorie Best Action/Adventure Game.
